Insurance Made Easy (IME) has officially joined the Benjamin & Benjamin Insurance Brokers family. July 2024 marked the first anniversary of this significant milestone for both companies, bringing together decades of expertise and a shared commitment to exceptional customer service.
After a year, our transition is nearly complete, guided by a mutual respect for the legacy of IME, founded by James Gillard in 1992, and the vision of Paul Benjamin, a third-generation insurance broker.
What this means to our clients
The acquisition brings together the strengths of both companies, creating a team of 21 dedicated professionals. Our combined expertise and resources mean enhanced negotiating power with insurers, potentially resulting in better deals for our clients.
We're part of the McLardy McShane network, which places over $650 million in premiums. As such, we are positioned to offer better buying power in premiums and policy coverage, comprehensive services and innovative solutions to meet our clients' diverse needs.

Seamless transition and more support to clients
James Gillard, founder of IME, has built the firm to become a trusted name in insurance broking over the past 31 years. Seeking an appropriate successor who would honour the relationships and values he built, James knew Paul Benjamin and Benjamin & Benjamin Insurance Brokers were the perfect fit.
James remains in the business full-time, ensuring seamless transition and client relations support. The IME team has been operating from modern new facilities in Mulgrave since February, where we'll benefit from greater access to our trusted insurance partners and a larger cross-section of our clients.
We've also opened a new office in Sydney at the Rocks, reassuring our commitment to our New South Wales clients.
